Nutrition and Longevity

Nothing lasts, though sometimes we pretend this is not fundamental truth.

We get one body and when that’s all used up, we die.

It doesn’t matter how famous we are or how much money we have.

Nothing lasts, though sometimes we pretend this is not fundamental truth.

Eating garbage can be a reflection of this denial.

Like that scene in Groundhog Day when Bill Murray stuffs his face with cake.

Being mindful of what we consume is a means of embracing impermanence.

It seems like a paradox but it’s really not.

Peonies are a great reminder of the fleeting nature of all living things. They burst on the scene for a week or two and astonish us. Then, they’re done.
